Rana is a writer, producer, director, and occasional performer. She grew up exposed to different mediums; music, dance, theatre, film, comic books, poetry, television, and art. She also has a wide range of interests, from spirituality and social issues relating to African-Americans and women, to fashion, sports, and entertainment. Rana has written a feature screenplay and starred in a campus stage production of The Vagina Monologues before graduating from Hunter College (CUNY) in 2005.

Since then, she has completed a host of short and feature screenplays. One of the feature screenplays is New Sensation, which was a finalist in the 2010 Beverly Hills Film Festival screenplay competition. She also completed a short film, entitled How Romantic. She also completed a series of plays at her local church. In 2016, she completed another short film, entitled The Jonz Inn.
One of Rana’s goals is to align with a media company that shares her vision for promoting diversity, entertainment, inspiration and social change. She aims to create content that will inspire people to make a positive change in the world and to make their dreams come true.
